Storage is the difference between a stash you enjoy and a stash you avoid. The useful stuff keeps wool dry, helps with moth prevention and lets you see what you own without unpacking everything.
What to look for
The project you are knitting now wants easy access: visible yarn, room for the work-in-progress and somewhere for the tools. The rest of the stash wants dry, tidy storage where you can still see what you own.
For wool and other animal fibres, moth prevention matters too. Storage is not just about fitting more yarn into a cupboard; it is about making the stash easy to use before you accidentally buy the same shade again.
